We Need Your Help!

Learn How to Become a Meals on Wheels Volunteer.

About Our Volunteer Program

Meals on Wheels in Greater New Brunswick relies on volunteers to deliver meals to the homebound elderly five days a week throughout the year. Our Meals on Wheels clients are seniors threatened with hunger and social isolation.

The most common volunteer job is meal delivery and social  greetings to our homebound clients. Volunteers are assigned a pre-determined route that brings them to the homes of  seniors in the Greater New Brunswick area. Once the shift is complete, the volunteers return the delivery packaging items to our headquarters and return again for volunteering!

Volunteer Commitment

Our volunteers deliver according to whatever schedule is best for them. Individual volunteers can deliver once a week or once to twice a month.

Who can volunteer?: Individual volunteers, groups, and organizations are welcome.

Delivering a route: Typically takes 1.5 hours with deliveries starting at 10:30 a.m.
